Painting a 10 foot Mural with Acrylic
When Beba mentioned the project to me, I literally squealed. I was so excited to do a project of this size 10ft x 4ft. The first step for me was to match the colors based off of the shoot’s moodboard.
Moodboards help designer’s to pull together images for inspiration on a project. You compile images in a folder or on a Pinterest board. I referenced the Pinterest board and printed image from it, so I could do color swatches. From the color swatches, I would mix the colors and match them to the swatch.
Then it was just a matter of rolling out the carpet and getting to work. I used a canvas, not a carpet, but you understand. You can watch the video below to see how I create the mural.
