Why The Futur is the best video series for graphic designers

The Futur, a Youtube series for designers, airs weekly on inspirational topics for designers. Chris Do’s exceptional education platform is based out of Santa Monica, California, and he is the founder of Blind. Do narrates the individual episodes on his platform and inspires designers to develop the necessary skills for becoming a business owner. Having struggled myself for the last decade with many of the topics he mentions, including self doubt because of the nature of our field, I believe his series is one of the best around. It covers the financial aspects and struggles freelance designers encounter in an era of social media influence and expectation.

Below is one of my favorite episodes discussing how to attract your ideal client. I think this topic is something all freelance designers wrestle with. We live in a fight or flight society where fear holds us back from being the best version of ourselves. We are always focused on what we don’t have and this can detract attention from the more important goals that will set us up for success.
