Herb of July is Curry Leaf!
This 2018 summer has been a busy one with tutoring and working in LA. However, I have picked up the pen again! Literally. I'm working on a few inking projects and excited to see where they lead me. Summertime tends to be a space when creativity can stockpile. Whereas, winter is a time to grind, at least in the design industry I have observed this is true. A lot of projects ramp up around December and January. Below is also a new watercolor I created for the month of July.
July is Curry Leaf Month
Despite all of this, I have been continuing to work on my herbal collection. Here is the newest addition to the series. The other day I decided to add another herb to my collection and looked up seasonal herbs for July. The herb that came up was curry leaf. I LOVE curry, and I bet you do too. This herb is great for making with rice, meat, and other sauces. I hope this post inspires you to use curry this month.
Here are a few facts about curry leaf.
1. It can help with digestive disorders and cure diarrhea.
2. It contains fiber, calcium, minerals, and vitamins.
3. It protects the gastrointestinal tract.
4. It can help get diabetes under control.
5. It lowers bad cholesterol levels.
6. Curry leaves can strengthen hair roots.
This amazing herb is very powerful and can even be made into an oil.
I will also be posting very soon about the inking project I mentioned above. Hope you're enjoying the sun!
