About Andalee Hyatt

Andalee attended the Art Institute of Orange County for a bachelor’s of science in Interactive Media Design. After working in graphic design for start up companies, as a designer, she returned to school to study English literature.

She attended California State University, Fullerton researching Victorian sensation fiction in the 1800’s and also worked in the marketing department for the College of Humanities & Social Sciences as a staffed graphic designer.

Andalee has presented at 7 different conferences, one international Gothic conference in London at Strawberry Hill to present on Gothic fiction. Her research is currently published. She was invited to UC Berkeley to present on topics of symbolism in 2015 as the only post graduate student on a panel of professors, and her research can be found in Convenit Internacional. She worked in education after graduation and continued as a professional designer for a tech company in LA. While volunteering to work with ESL students in addition to working full time, she consecutively attended San Diego State University for their Children’s Book Literature program. Along with this experience, she completed a program through HOW University for Branding, and because of her passion for teaching, she also attended a program for teaching reading. This has given her a unique blend of experience and knowledge as a designer and illustrator.
